Birmingham based 135-pounder Vaughan Lee (11-7-1) will make his UFC return on February 26th, when he takes on Japan's Norifumi 'Kid' Yamamoto (18-5) at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
The UTC fighter is coming off a split decision loss to Chris Carisao at UFC 138, and will be looking for a win to secure his place in the world's biggest MMA organisation.
Heading to Yamamoto's home turf will make this a hard task; especially with the well-rounded fighter coming off two losses which will surely add to his motivation. However, the losses have also shown that the Krazy Bee scrapper is beatable, and underdog Lee will take some confidence from these defeats.
A must-win contest for both, with the odds stacked against Lee, it will be interesting to see whether the nineteen-fight veteran can make the most of this opportunity, and nail down his place in the UFC.
